Areas of Expertise

Cross-Cultural & Immigrant Family Support

As a bilingual therapist fluent in English and Mandarin, I specialize in helping immigrant and multicultural families bridge cultural and generational differences. My approach honors each family’s unique story, supporting belonging, balance, and understanding across cultures and identities.

Emotionally Focused & Relational Therapy

Rooted in Emotionally Focused and attachment-based approaches, my work helps clients recognize emotional needs and build secure, authentic relationships. I integrate Gestalt and psychodynamic perspectives to bring awareness to the “here and now,” supporting healing through connection and self-discovery.

Individual & Family Therapy

I provide a warm, reflective space for children, teens, and parents to explore emotions, relationships, and life transitions. Whether working one-on-one or as a family, therapy focuses on understanding patterns, restoring communication, and fostering empathy and connection at home.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is relational, experiential, and deeply human. I believe that healing begins in the presence of safety—when a person feels truly seen, heard, and accepted. In that space of trust, something essential happens: we begin to rediscover parts of ourselves that have long been silenced, forgotten, or shaped by others’ expectations. Therapy, to me, is not about fixing what is “wrong,” but about helping you reconnect with what has always been whole, resilient, and capable within you.

My work is integrative, drawing from Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Emotionally Focused (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Mindfulness, Family Systems, and Play Therapy. Gestalt and psychodynamic approaches invite curiosity toward the “here and now”—how your thoughts, emotions, and body sensations come alive in the present moment, often reflecting deeper relational patterns formed in the past. Together, we pay attention to those lived experiences, allowing insight, emotion, and awareness to naturally unfold.

At times, we may explore how old attachment patterns, cultural values, and family expectations shape how you relate to yourself and others. I integrate mindfulness practices to help anchor awareness in the body, and use CBT tools when structure and skills are needed to manage anxiety, depression, or unhelpful thought patterns.

With children and teens, I often use play, art, and storytelling as bridges to understanding their inner worlds—offering language to emotions that are still forming. For parents and families, I bring a systems perspective, helping members listen beyond words, recognize emotional needs, and repair disconnection.

As a bilingual therapist fluent in English and Mandarin, I hold deep respect for the experiences of immigrant and multicultural families who navigate multiple worlds at once. I understand how language, culture, and belonging shape identity—and how therapy can be a space to hold all of these truths with compassion.
